The Erotic Heritage Museum Reality?

So, we all hear things…especially in the adult business. If the news comes to fruition or even tickles close to reality in some near future, well, that’s another story entirely. But having some connections with the venerable Erotic Heritage Museum as we do, the gossip that the Las Vegas institution might be the subject of a new HBO reality series was too delicious to ignore.

Again, there is so far no corroboration to this claim. Still, it’s rumored cable giant station recently visited with the powers-that-be down at 3275 S. Sammy Davis Jr. Drive (which is just a mere block off the famous strip) to conduct follow-up talks about something that’s supposedly brewing right under the monolith that is the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas. It’s a proximity that carries with it a fantastic irony, I feel, akin to the EHM always there to act as a ‘Princess in the Pea’-like irritant to what stands over it.

What supposedly happened was that a pilot was filmed at the museum over the past year. The production company behind this is rumored to be Flower Films, which is owned by Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen (that’s not a rumor, though, F.F. is indeed owned by these two ladies (see here). F.F. has produced a slew of features like Barrymore’s Charlie’s Angels and the wonderfully weird Donnie Darko, her talk show, and other television like “Tough Love Couples.”

If you have never been and find in need of some non-gambling fun, the two-story EHM is certainly a place to enjoy yourself. Begun as a collaboration between Reverend Ted McIllvenna, and Harry Mohney, the supreme “sex-positive exhibition space” is the world’s largest museum dedicated to preserving erotic artifacts, fine art, film, education, and cultural events, and many other fantastic erotic artifacts. There is also a retail space and live theatre, currently hosting Puppetry Of The Penis, on the premises.

Representatives of the EHM denied any connection to the above rumor.
